The New Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Boroughbridge Town Council

At the Annual Meeting on 7th May 2024 the mayor making process installed a new Mayor for Boroughbridge Town Council. Cllr Hynes stepped down as mayor and a new mayor was elected. A vote of thanks from the council was given to Cllr Hynes for the commitment and hard work he has given to the town as mayor from 2022. The Deputy Mayor was also elected. Cllr Jamie McNeil becomes Deputy Mayor in 2024. Read More...

An up-date on the Flooding issues at the bottom of New Row.

The repeated flooding of the highway and pavement at the bottom of New Row has been a matter the town council have been pursuing for months, frustratingly with slow progress achieved. North Yorkshire Council Highways and Yorkshire Water have disagreed about the cause of the flooding, and disagreed over the maintenance of the assets that have led to the flooding.
