BBC Country File visit and filming in Boroughbridge.
Published: 24 October 2024
Members of the BBC Country File team visited the town council offices and filmed a section of their programme in Boroughbridge recently.
The visit was hosted by Mayor Pauline Phillips and was a very interesting opportunity to meet some of the journalists and broadcasters in the team.
Filming for the programme took place in the Tourist Information offices, outside the Buttermarket museum on the cobbles, and around the new housing development at Aldborough Gate.
The filming will be featured in the programme to be broadcast on 17th November 2024. It was such a shame the weather was foggy and damp that day, but hopefully Boroughbridge shone through in spite of the dreary gloom!
The producer, Anna Little sent us this lovely message after the filming took place;
"We had a brilliant time in Boroughbridge and can’t thank you enough for making that happen and at such short notice! You were all so welcoming and kind.
We’re very grateful. I’ll have to come back to visit on holiday one day!"
