Welcome to Boroughbridge Tourist Information Office.
Please note the tourist information office is open only Monday to Friday each week, 9am-1pm. The office is staffed by volunteers in the summer season, with support from the town council office team. Opening hours may vary when staffing is challenged by absences, but we try to help as much as possible. You can always telephone the town council office and leave us a message-01423 322956 if the office is closed. We always get back to messages left if a telephone number is shared. During the months of October to April the office is opened only by town council staff.
The volunteers who help in the office only work during the Summer season, however staff in the Town Council are willing to try to offer help in the Winter and the Tourist Information Point office is still accessible.

Located in the same building as the Council Offices at 1,Hall Square on the corner of Fishergate, High Street and Back Lane, the Tourist Information Office also supports North Yorkshire Council as a base for Community Information.
We endeavour to be open from 9.00am - 1pm Monday to Friday and Saturday from 10.00am -2.00pm from Easter until October half term. Winter opening hours are Mon-Fri 9.00am - 1.00pm, closed on Saturday. The town council clerk team will offer help with local issues on behalf of North Yorkshire Council, by signposting to services and giving all the support we are able to.
Brochures and guides are available in the tourist office covering visitor attractions, accommodation, gardens, festivals, entertainment venues and much more besides. You will also find available a wide selection of locally produced literature on topics such as - places of interest, a variety of local walks, historical events and, you can also discover stories of notable and interesting people of this area including Robin Hood – yes the Robin Hood!
