Tourist Information

Welcome to Boroughbridge Tourist Information Office.

Please note the office is open only Monday to Friday each week, 9am-1pm, during the months of October to April.

The volunteers who help in the office only work during the Summer season, however staff in the Town Council are willing to try to offer help in the Winter and the Tourist Information Point office is still accessible.

Located in the same building as the Council Offices at 1,Hall Square on the corner of Fishergate, High Street and Back Lane, the Visitor and Community Information Centre endeavours to be open from 9.00am - 4.00pm Monday to Friday and Saturday from 10.00am -4.00pm from Easter until October half term. Winter opening hours are Mon-Fri 9.00am - 1.00pm, closed on Saturday.

Brochures and guides are available covering visitor attractions, accommodation, gardens, festivals, entertainment venues and much more besides. You will also find available a wide selection of locally produced literature on topics such as - places of interest, a variety of local walks, historical events and, you can also discover stories of notable and interesting people of this area including Robin Hood – yes the Robin Hood!

New volunteers are always welcomed

If you feel that you could offer 2 or 3 hours once a week or once a fortnight to help run the Tourist Office, please contact the Town Clerk. Induction training will be provided.
