Cattal railway station is 15 minutes by car from Boroughbridge and regularly connects to the main East coast rail link at York as well as providing regular services to and from Harrogate and Leeds.

Buses operate regularly from the centre of Boroughbridge to/from York, Harrogate and Ripon.
