Location & Services

Boroughbridge is located adjacent to the A1M motorway in North Yorkshire on the banks of the River Ure. Just 2 minutes from Junctions 48 and 49 of the motorway, it is readily accessible from both North and Southbound carriageways.

Boroughbridge is blessed with many small, specialist and independent shops as well as a major supermarket. It also boasts a number of pub/ restaurants and traditional restaurants as well as a range of ‘takeaways’ catering for traditional and more exotic tastes.
 
The town also has a number of traditional cafes where, weather permitting, homemade delicacies can be enjoyed indoors or on the pavement.

Accommodation is available in traditional ‘Bed & Breakfast’ type accommodation as well as in larger hotels which also offer conference facilities.
 
If fitness and/or being pampered are on the agenda then the leisure centre, the healthclub and one of the beauty salons or hairdressers may prove attractive.
 
Parking is free in the town, both on the roadside (limited to 90 minutes between 8am and 6pm except Sundays) and in the spacious town centre car park (no time limit).
