Water Rats

Located in an ex- Army building on the corner of Bridge Street and Mill Lane, Boroughbridge District Club (also known as the Water Rats) has been in existence since approximately 1921.
 

Originally established to provide somewhere for ex servicemen to meet it is now a haven for retired gentlemen. On payment of an annual membership fee, members are issued with a key and given free access to use the facilities as they wish.
 
Activities enjoyed at the club include, snooker, billiards, cards (including bridge) and darts.
 
The Boroughbridge Club is an independent, self-supporting organisation.
