Boroughbridge & District Club
Boroughbridge & District Club was founded, in 1921, by men returning from
the First World War looking for somewhere to pass their leisure time.
When the Club was formed it issued a number of £1.00 Shares to raise the funds
necessary to purchase a redundant army hut from Ripon and erect it at the end
of Mill Lane, where it remains to this day. These Shares were redeemed, at face
value, by the Club in 1951
