Beavers (Age 6 - 8)
Beavers make friends, play games, learn crafts and go on walks, visits and sleepovers.
Beavers meet on Tuesday.
Cubs (Age 8 - 10.5)
Cubs play games, try new activities and can work towards a wide range of badges.
They also go camping, where they learn outdoor skills and can try sports such
as mountain biking, archery and orienteering. Cubs meet on Friday.
Scouts (Age 10.5 – 14)
Scouts are a very adventurous group. They have fun while trying new challenges,
being creative and learning about the world. Half the activities are outdoors
including camping, survival, kayaking and abseiling. Scouts meet on Friday.
Explorer Scouts (Age 14 to 18)
Explorer Scouts do not meet on a regular day, but have a timetable of activities
at varying locations. Any meetings are in Ripon. The emphasis is even more on
outdoor challenges on land, water or in the air. They also do community service,
try new skills and can work for their Duke of Edinburgh awards.
Adult Help
Scouting is run by volunteers who can help out at weekly meetings or running
the group. After passing the child protection policy check you will be very welcome
to join us. Whatever time and skills you have will be appreciated.
