Amblers

Boroughbridge amblers is an informal organisation which periodically organises walks of about 4 miles which take place about once a fortnight. The walks are best described as ‘easy’ and a schedule is planned about 6 months in advance. This schedule is displayed in the Library, the Visitor Information Centre and the Post Office. Impending walks are also usually publicised in the local paper in the ‘About Boroughbridge’ section.

All walks are led by volunteers and participants always meet in the Back Lane car park in Boroughbridge. There is no charge and no membership fee, indeed lifts are available to the car park for anyone without transport. The group is open to all ages and dogs are allowed providing they are kept on leads.

Typically each walk takes just over 2 hours and no pre-booking is required, simply look at the schedule and turn up at the appropriate time, appropriately equipped for a couple of hours easy walking in the English countryside!
