Constitution
 
A revised constitution adopted in May 2004 defines the purpose of the association which is  to promote the amateur sports of soccer cricket bowls and tennis in Boroughbridge and the local area.
 
Membership is open to all independent  groups (clubs) locally and individuals whose aim is to further the interest in these sports.
 
General information
 
In practice the association is an umbrella body for the sports clubs that use the facilities at Boroughbridge road Aldborough
The association holds the ground lease until 2009 and rents the sports areas  to the Mens football and cricket clubs and to the bowling and tennis clubs.The pitches are also used by a ladies cricket team and junior football club which are independent from the mens clubs.The tennis club has it’s own junior section.
 
The available facilities are two football pitches a large cricket field three tennis courts (acrylic surface) and a bowling green. The clubhouse/pavilion is owned by the association and it’s changing and shower facilities are used by the football and cricket clubs. There is also a bar and comfortable club lounge which is licenced for the use of association members( ie members of each sports club) and their guests.
 
 The tennis and bowls clubs have their own small clubhouses for changing.
 
Funding
 
The association is non profit making and derives it’s funds which are intended to cover it’s costs  from the following sources.  Rents from the above mentioned clubs.  Subscriptions from the above mentioned clubs for each of the members of those independent clubs.  Nominal charges to the other users.   Revenue from the sale of alcohol etc at the bar.  External funds have in the past been sought from National sporting bodies for major projects.

Members of the public who wish to participate in any of the sports provided should apply to the individual club membership secretaries.
