Youth Opportunities Fund 2010/2011
Boroughbridge Youth Council have £5000 to award to young people aged 13
- 19 yrs or to groups working with young people.
The youth opportunity fund (YOF) and youth capital fund (YCF) are
Government grants that aim to improve and increase opportunities for
'places to go' and 'things to do' for young people.
One of the main principles behind the funding is that young people
themselves should be involved in making decisions about what the funding
is used for.
Grants awarded last year include £500 to a Photography Club, £320 for a
Nintendo Wii for the youth centre, £280 for a skatepark trip and £300
for Xmas hampers for the homeless.
