Boroughbridge Amblers is an informal organisation which periodically organises walks of about 4 miles which take place about once a fortnight. The walks are best described as 'easy' and a schedule is planned about 6 months in advance. Posters are displayed in the Library, the Visitor Information Centreand local shop windows. The Lower Ure News also shows details of the walks. Walks are also published in the Ripon Gazette in the "About Boroughbridge" section. If you would like to let Chris have your email address you can receive up-to-date details of the walks.
All walks are led by volunteeers and participants meet in Back Lane Car Park, Boroughbridge at 10.00am unless otherwise specified. Car sharing is encouraged and petrol costs shared. There is no charge and no membership fee. The Group is open to all ages and dogs are allowed on most walks provided that they are on a lead.
Typically, each walk takes just over two hours and no pre-booking is needed. Simply look at the schedule and turn up at the appropriate time, suitably equiped for a couple of hours easy walking in the Yorkshire countryside.
